In very close proximity to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), the University and Zurich University Hospital, a science park for life science companies and institutions has developed in the last two decades, which has now acquired both national and international significance. On an area of 55,000 m2, the park now hosts around 40 companies and institutions representing a healthy mix of young start-ups and global companies as well as university clinics, institutes, and research groups.
