Founded in 1992, Foshan National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone (FHIDZ) is located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, P.R.China. It is one of the first batch of National Hi-tech Zones and one of the top High-tech Zones in southern China. In 2016, itachieved a gross industrial output value of 364billion Yuan, and the whole business tax from the enterprises amounted to 27.6 billion Yuan.
FHIDZ is located at the hinterland of Pearl River Delta area, adjacent to Guangzhou, close to Hongkong and Macao, in the core circle of “Guangdong – Hongkong – Macau Greater Bay Area”. With superior location, convenient transportation and high-efficient government service, FHIDZ has attracted many world famous enterprises including Volkswagen, Siemens, Osram, BASF, Sacmi, Roca, Sirona, Honda, Toshiba and other companies. Up till now, there are 54 Fortune Top 500 Enterprises, 59 Listed Companies, 615 Hi-tech Enterprises in the Zone. At present, the zone strives to develop main Industries including automobile and auto parts, advanced equipment manufacturing, optoelectronics, Advanced Materials Industry, biomedical industry, Smart Home, and Modern Service Industry. Meanwhile, The zone also develops technology platforms and carriers to support innovation and R&D. At present, there are 10 National Incubation Carriers, 7 National Makerspaces,163 engineering technology R&D centers above provincial level, and 81 enterprise R&D centers above provincial level in the zone.
